He has over 10 years of entrepreneurial experience operating trading businesses in Nepal and North America and expertise in business development, marketing, and business operations and systems development. He is also the co-founder of Machpay. Machpay is a global payment processor changing the landscape of developing countries like Nepal to enable financial inclusion for digital economy.
Mr. Joshi holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon USA. He is the recipient of the 2003 Tony Zeitoun Award in the category of “ICT and Poverty Reduction” for the story of Thamel Dot Com. It is considered as one of the best practices case studies in the areas of migration and productizing of remittances. It is also a subject of case study at academic institutions like Santa Clara University and George Washington University.
